A female figure, part juggler, part street performer, takes centre stage in a metaphysical space, surrounded by four paper spheres bearing the recognisable mastheads of our newspaper and its cultural supplement. A simple circus act thus becomes an allegory of our relationship with the news: receiving it, keeping it in motion, and seeking a balance between the relentless flow of events and the need to understand them. This is the artwork that Paolo Ventura created especially to celebrate the 150th anniversary of *Corriere della Sera*, and it forms part of our special digital collection. From Tuesday, *la Lettura* will be available at newsstands in a special collector’s edition featuring a QR code that provides access, via the *Corriere Art Collection* app, to the NFT version of the artwork. Paolo Ventura (Milan, 1968) is an acclaimed artist who uses photography to construct miniature theatres of memory, where painting, photography and set design intertwine, creating atmospheres suspended between reality, fiction and dreams. The same is true of our cover, where the presence of *Corriere della Sera* and *la Lettura* suggests two rhythms existing side by side: the urgency of reporting the news and the more contemplative pace of interpretation.
